1. Warranty Coverage
Apex Heating and Cooling Limited (“Apex”) provides the following limited warranty for mini-split heat pump systems installed by our certified technicians:
• Manufacturer’s Warranty: Coverage for compressor and parts is provided as per the original equipment manufacturer’s (OEM) warranty. Customers must register their unit with the manufacturer to receive full benefits.
• Labor Warranty: Apex provides a 1-year labor warranty from the date of installation, covering defects in workmanship related to system installation.
2. Warranty Conditions
This warranty applies only if the system:
• Was installed by Apex Heating and Cooling Limited or an authorized contractor.
• Was maintained in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, including regular filter cleaning and annual servicing.
• Has not been altered, modified, or repaired by unauthorized personnel.
• Was used under normal residential or light commercial conditions.
3. Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
• Damage due to improper use, lack of maintenance, or unauthorized modifications.
• Failures due to power surges, weather conditions, or acts of nature (e.g., flooding, lightning).
• Refrigerant leaks after the first 60 days of operation unless covered by the manufacturer.
• Consumable items such as filters, drain lines, or remote control batteries.
• Any damage arising from failure to follow manufacturer-recommended servicing.
4. Claim Process
To file a warranty claim, customers must:
1. Contact Apex Heating and Cooling Limited via phone or email with the unit’s model number, serial number, and installation date.
2. Provide proof of purchase and manufacturer warranty registration (if applicable).
3. Allow Apex to inspect the unit before any repairs are performed.
If a claim is approved, Apex will repair or replace the defective part in accordance with the terms above. Labor outside the warranty period will be billed at standard service rates.
5. Limitations of Liability
Apex Heating and Cooling Limited is not responsible for:
• Consequential damages such as loss of heating/cooling, property damage, or additional utility costs.
• Manufacturer warranty claims, which are subject to the manufacturer’s policies.
